Long Road Ahead
Fifteen months ago, a great friend asked me what I'd be doing if I could do anything I wanted. I told him I wanted to be assistant directing a show and writing reviews for TimeOut Chicago. Check. Check.
So fifteen months from now I'd like to be able to pay the rent. Kidding. Kidding.
Thanks Zev. I did appreciate the shoutout on your blog, and you wrote a great review: I promise I didn't read it before I sent mine in. I think we largely agree about the show, though. And three more since!? My word.
I think we agree on the basic objective good and bad points of the play, but I have a real love of Hellman's chewy soap opera and noirish dialogue, which you mostly found silly, so I was a lot more positive. I would have given it at least another star--but that's me.

Hurrah on your first TOC review! What's the next one? (I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it more though. We can finally get together and discuss the play!)

Nah, only two reviews since. You flatter me.
